Job Title: Counselor Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Counselor to join our team at Burrell Behavioral Health. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome mental health and substance use challenges. Your primary focus will be on assisting clients with mental health and/or substance use disorders in accordance with their treatment plans. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and screenings within designated timeframes * Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with state and agency standards * Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery and improved functioning * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic client care * Document all services provided in accordance with regulatory and agency requirements * Manage caseload effectively, ensuring timely completion of all required documentation * Assist clients through the transition process, including completion of transition summaries and plans * Handle crisis situations as they arise, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills * Represent the agency professionally within the community and maintain positive relationships with referral sources * Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills * Adhere to ethical standards and agency policies in all aspects of work Education and/or Experience Qualifications: * Hold credentials as a Qualified Addiction Professional as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc.
