As an Engine Assembly Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to construct and assemble engines and sub-assemblies, ensuring adherence to our high standards of quality. You will maintain meticulous records of component data throughout the assembly process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and construct various types of engines, utilizing industry-standard assembly practices.
  • Accurately measure components to precise tolerances.
  • Set and confirm part clearances as required.
  • Employ measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Utilize necessary hand tools for assembly tasks.
  • Maintain detailed engine build records and component history data.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in engine assembly or mechanical work.
  • Proficiency in operating standard shop equipment (hoists, jacks, hand tools, etc.).
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical issues in engines.
  • Basic computer skills and strong organizational abilities are essential.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Flexibility and eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or further education in an automotive-related field.
  • Experience with powertrain calibration diagnostics and controls.
  • Capability to perform engine teardown and assembly while following specified charts.
  • Experience in basic fabrication tasks.
