Job Overview

Position: Program Manager for Youth Residential Services

Location: Chicago, IL

Schedule: Overnight shifts with weekends off

Role Summary: Under the leadership of the Program Director, the Program Manager for Youth Residential Services is tasked with assisting in the provision of strategic direction and oversight in the implementation of policies and practices that ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services tailored to the needs of youth populations. This role is pivotal in facilitating quality residential care for justice-involved youth, fostering their personal growth, development, and successful reintegration into the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delegation of tasks to program staff, ensuring adherence to established protocols and evaluating performance.
  • Develop and enforce effective procedures for service delivery and administrative operations, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Participate in the recruitment and management of staff, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Conduct performance assessments for team members.
  • Provide direct support and services to clients, including transportation as necessary.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with community organizations and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and ensure ongoing training for staff.
  • Manage program reports and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Address facility-related issues as they arise.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Be available for on-call crisis situations, providing support as needed.
  • Adhere to professional standards and assist in developing organizational policies.
  • Facilitate training sessions to ensure staff compliance with professional standards.
  • Seek guidance from supervisors on complex issues affecting service delivery.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • At least two years of experience in residential services.
  • Must be at least 25 years of age as per licensing requirements.

Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License is mandatory.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Preferred bilingual skills, particularly in English and Spanish or another language.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Work Environment: This position requires in-person attendance at the assigned program site. Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet the needs of the program.

Physical Requirements: The role involves regular communication, mobility, and the ability to perform physical tasks as needed.
