Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students with unique learning requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute tailored education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring their distinct learning objectives are met.
  • Employ diverse teaching methodologies to cater to various learning preferences and capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with general education instructors, families, and other specialists to create and implement effective teaching strategies and support services.
  • Deliver direct instruction to students, providing engaging and differentiated lessons that foster academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Regularly evaluate student progress and modify teaching approaches as necessary.
  • Establish a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes a sense of belonging and supports students' social and emotional health.
  • Maintain thorough and precise records of student progress, behavior, and IEP adherence.
  • Participate actively in meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related discipline (Master's degree is preferred).
  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with special needs is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and other professionals.
  • Patience, empathy, and the capability to cultivate a supportive and nurturing educational environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
