Position Overview:

As a key member of the Battery Technology team at Moxion Power Co., the Controls Engineer will play a vital role in enhancing our production capabilities. This position involves collaborating with engineers and technicians to establish Moxion as a leader in battery-based energy storage manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with manufacturing systems and processes, from entire production lines to specific automation cells, collaborating with both internal design teams and external automation partners.
  • Maintain software that connects manufacturing equipment with supervisory systems, including the factory Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Utilize Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and SCADA systems for production lines and automation cells.
  • Oversee testing equipment for electrical systems and safety systems to ensure the protection of manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist in debugging and optimizing automated processes to enhance cycle time, maximize equipment availability, and improve yield.
  • Support production by implementing necessary testing and programming processes.
  • Create comprehensive training plans and troubleshooting documentation for maintenance and production teams.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent organizational and communication skills, and hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with PLC-based control systems, HMI interfaces, and SCADA systems is preferred.


Additional Skills:
  • Experience with electrical standards and safe troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining automation equipment and industrial machinery.
  • Experience with electrical testing tools such as DMMs, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.

Educational Background:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required, with majors such as Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or Industrial Engineering being ideal.
