Job Overview

Salary: $17 to $24 per hour

As a Pest Control Technician at Commonwealth Vector Control, you will utilize effective products and methodologies to manage pest issues in both commercial and residential settings. Our specialists are committed to delivering exceptional mosquito and pest management services with professionalism and courtesy. If you have a passion for outstanding customer service and enjoy engaging in hands-on work, this position may be ideal for you.

No prior experience is necessary You will receive comprehensive PAID training upon joining our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage fully in training sessions to enhance your skills and fulfill licensing requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols in accordance with state regulations and OSHA standards, ensuring the use of necessary safety equipment during tasks.
  • Operate a backpack blower (up to 60 pounds) in varying weather conditions and terrains.
  • Address basic customer inquiries and relay any complaints or issues to the office for prompt resolution.
  • Accurately complete job documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate weekly duties, including occasional weekend hours.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is clean and operate it safely.
  • Travel to client locations to deliver services in a professional and friendly manner.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of mosquito and pest control is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to carry a 60lb Backpack Fogger.
  • Availability for extended hours and weekends as needed.
Additional Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check.
