  • Material Procurement: Provide lists of materials to be purchased on a per-job basis to the purchasing manager, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Progress Reporting: Keep the department manager informed regarding progress or problems encountered in all phases of control design and assembly.
  • Checklist Maintenance: Update all departmental checklists and paperwork in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Pre-Job Screening: Complete pre-job screening and fill out screening forms, ensuring thorough evaluation of control systems.
  • Cost and Design Discrepancies: Report any major cost or design discrepancies to the supervisor, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Long Lead Time Items: Order long lead time items as soon as possible, minimizing delays.
  • Schematic and Wiring Diagrams: Complete schematic or wiring diagrams as required by job, ensuring accurate representation of control systems.
  • Bill of Materials: Generate a complete bill of materials for the assembly of control panels, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Release Orders: Release orders for remaining job components, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Panel Layout Diagrams: Complete panel layout diagrams for panel assembly, ensuring efficient use of space.
  • Terminal Strip Drawings: Provide detailed terminal strip drawings for all control enclosures and junction boxes, ensuring accurate representation.
  • Festoons and E-Chain: Design festoons/E-Chain and order all required materials, ensuring efficient installation.
  • Assembly Diagrams: Complete assembly diagrams, ensuring accurate representation of control systems.
  • Material Procurement: Order any materials that are not routinely kept in inventory, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Runway Conductor and Current Collector Requirements: Review runway conductor and current collector requirements and release orders for these materials, ensuring accurate representation.
  • As-Built Drawings: Provide as-built drawings, ensuring accurate documentation of control systems.
  • Design Materials: Copy all pertinent design materials to the appropriate directory and file on the main server, ensuring easy access.
Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Prior experience with industrial motor control system development is required.
  • Industry Experience: Overhead Crane Industry experience.
  • Electro-Mechanical Product Experience: Electro-mechanical product experience.
  • Motor Experience: AC Motors, DC Motors.
  • Variable Frequency Drives: Experience with Variable Frequency Drives.
  • NEC and UL Guidelines: Familiarity with appropriate NEC and UL guidelines and processes.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Experience with general manufacturing processes.
  • Design Experience: Design experience utilizing computer-aided design using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

This is a direct hire permanent position, and pay will be based on experience level.
