Key Responsibilities:
Receive service requests from the Service Resource Center, including a brief overview of equipment or system issues. Engage with customer representatives to clarify equipment or system malfunctions.
Diagnose and execute repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and other associated building system products at client locations.
Technical Proficiency:
Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers' Fire & Life Safety systems, including SimplexGrinnell.
Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational manuals effectively.
Customer Engagement:
Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills by maintaining consistent communication with district staff and clients to ensure satisfaction.
Complete Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding via communication devices such as smartphones and laptops.
On-call Responsibilities:
Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.
Assist in training or mentoring team members within the service department.
Qualifications:
3+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.
Familiarity with testing equipment, multi-meters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
Capability to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, as well as working in ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, to accommodate customer needs.
Maintain truck inventory to ensure prompt response to client requirements.
