Director, Business Growth Strategist

Cytokinetics is seeking a highly skilled Director, Business Growth Strategist to drive commercial partnerships and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source strategic partnerships and collaborations that align with Cytokinetics' pipeline and business objectives
  • Develop and execute business growth strategies, including market analysis, competitor research, and trend identification
  • Lead cross-functional teams in assessments and due diligence, building business cases, and negotiating partnership agreements
  • Travel as needed to attend meetings, conferences, and networking events
  • Cross-train, coach, and mentor colleagues on opportunity assessment, due diligence, negotiation, and partnership management
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree (e.g., M.B.A., Ph.D., etc.) with a relevant technical degree preferred, and 10+ years of experience in biopharma business development or related field
  • Proven track record of leading negotiations to successful completion, including partnerships for regional rights and late-clinical stage/commercial programs
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to summarize complex concepts and think critically
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated creativity, flexibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced business environment
  • Strong knowledge base of business development practices and trends, with ability to stay up-to-date on industry developments
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including senior management, cross-functional teams, and external partners
