Position Overview

The Program Manager for Therapeutic Services plays a crucial role in overseeing the operational and programmatic aspects of therapeutic services aimed at supporting unaccompanied minors. This position reports directly to the Senior Program Officer for Transitional Foster Care and is essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality therapeutic interventions.

This role offers the flexibility of remote work with occasional travel as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of Foster Care grants to partner agencies, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain expertise in mental health, trauma, and juvenile justice issues affecting children in foster care.
  • Provide consultation and support to residential therapeutic programs and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaboration among Foster Care partners to enhance service delivery for unaccompanied minors.
  • Deliver technical assistance to partners regarding service delivery and compliance with established standards.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of partner programs to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify training needs and develop resources to enhance service delivery in accordance with recognized standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of governmental reports and documentation.
  • Support network capacity development, including partner recruitment and retention.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in agency-wide initiatives and meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Social Work or a related field, with at least five years of clinical experience.
  • A minimum of three years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly immigrants and refugees.
  • Familiarity with program development and budget management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to the core values of Global Refuge.

Special Requirements

  • LMSW or LCSW-C certification is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex systems and collaborative partnerships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
