The Program Coordinator for Therapeutic Services plays a crucial role in overseeing the operational and programmatic aspects of therapeutic initiatives at Global Refuge. Reporting directly to the Senior Program Officer for Transitional Foster Care, this position is pivotal in providing strategic direction and leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services to unaccompanied minors.

This role offers flexibility with remote work options, complemented by occasional travel as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage Foster Care grants to partner agencies, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with relevant policies.
  • Maintain expertise in mental health, trauma, and juvenile justice issues affecting children in foster care.
  • Provide ongoing consultation and support to residential therapeutic programs and various stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaboration among Foster Care partners to enhance service delivery to unaccompanied minors.
  • Deliver technical assistance and support to partners regarding service delivery and compliance standards.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of Foster Care programs to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Identify training needs and develop resources to improve program services in line with recognized standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of governmental reports and documentation.
  • Support network capacity building, including partner recruitment and retention.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to promote effective collaboration in service provision.
  • Represent Global Refuge at external meetings and training sessions.
  • Participate in agency-wide initiatives and activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field, with a minimum of five years of clinical experience in child welfare.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in an administrative capacity.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly immigrants and refugees.
  • Familiarity with program development and budget management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Commitment to the core values of Global Refuge and ability to model these values in professional relationships.

Special Requirements

  • LMSW or LCSW-C licensure is required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex systems and providing training to staff and partners.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
