Job Overview
Position Summary:

The Instructor for Early Youth Employment Services (EYES) is tasked with delivering the EYES curriculum to middle and high school students. This position also involves coordinating services with educational institutions, referral sources, parent advisory groups, and students. The Instructor will operate on a flexible, as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the provision of services for students in the EYES program, from referral to exit.
  2. Instruct pre-vocational skills curriculum, including career exploration, job readiness, and interview techniques, to middle and high school students.
  3. Conduct and implement curriculum training.
  4. Create lesson plans tailored for students.
  5. Deliver pre-vocational skills training in designated schools, either in-person or via virtual platforms.
  6. Coordinate class schedules with participating schools.
  7. Supervise and instruct classes both in schools and at the Tommy Nobis Center.
  8. Maintain effective classroom management and control.
  9. Inform the community about the summer EYES program.
  10. Prepare and submit monthly status reports for participants.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a teaching capacity.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
