Position Overview

LaBella Associates is seeking a motivated Energy Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects within the Buildings Engineering Division. This role is pivotal in advancing energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives that significantly reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough energy audits and feasibility assessments to pinpoint Energy Conservation Measures.
  • Analyze utility data to evaluate energy consumption patterns.
  • Perform energy savings calculations, utilizing field data to provide accurate estimates.
  • Develop technical documentation and design concepts, assisting with mechanical design projects as necessary.
  • Interpret complex plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project design requirements.
  • Plan, execute, and document the commissioning of various Mechanical and Electrical Systems to guarantee optimal operation.
  • Conduct on-site investigations and inspections of multi-discipline projects.
  • Lead efforts in resolving construction challenges and procedural issues.
  • Stay updated with relevant engineering and construction codes.
Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Possession or pursuit of a NYS PE License is preferred.
  • Certifications in Energy and/or Commissioning from recognized industry organizations (CEM, CBCP, BCxP, BEAP, etc.) are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of M/E/P/FP systems, building automation, and design processes.
  • Proficiency in building modeling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Reliable transportation for occasional site visits.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $125,000, influenced by factors such as experience, education, and work location.
