Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Energy and Sustainability Solutions to enhance our client services. This role is primarily remote, with candidates encouraged to reside in specific regions.

Our commitment to sustainability is integrated into every aspect of our operations, and we are expanding our Sustainability practice to provide comprehensive solutions in real estate, from initial site selection to final decommissioning.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with a client's sustainability team to support their energy and sustainability objectives, targets, and initiatives.

As a key member of the JLL Sustainable Operations team, you will leverage your expertise to ensure the effective delivery of our sustainability services.

Your role will be pivotal in fostering stakeholder engagement, advancing sustainability goals, and enhancing building performance.

You will be responsible for ensuring the integration and execution of sustainability practices across various business functions throughout the real estate lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement energy and sustainability program components in collaboration with the client's sustainability team.
  • Facilitate proactive communication and innovation, addressing challenges and capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Make strategic decisions based on data tracking and monitoring.
  • Work cross-functionally within JLL to drive success in energy and sustainability initiatives.
  • Lead program implementation, coordinating ongoing energy and sustainability initiatives, monitoring progress, and managing client relationships.
  • Utilize client tools and JLL resources for effective problem-solving and identify additional tools as necessary.
  • Understand the lifecycle of commercial real estate sustainability and the roles of critical stakeholders.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Over 10 years of experience in sustainable operations or related areas.
  • Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems.
  • Advanced understanding of energy conservation and sustainability initiatives in commercial real estate.
  • Strong operational experience in a large organization focused on management and engineering excellence.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and deliver presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating sustainability into organizational operations.

Desired:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in building auditing, commissioning, and design.
  • Familiarity with corporate clients and the landlord-tenant relationship.
  • Understanding of greenhouse gas emissions and reporting.
  • Knowledge of advanced energy and sustainability issues for corporate real estate occupiers.

Compensation

The estimated total compensation for this position ranges from $132,000 to $156,000 annually, including potential bonuses.
