Job Description

The Sustainability Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in assisting NY CREATES in leveraging opportunities to reduce energy, carbon, water, and waste while promoting health and wellbeing. This individual must be technically and analytically minded, and able to articulate ideas and concepts, using research and the latest technologies to guide the site toward innovative designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage sustainability projects internal to NY CREATES and in conjunction with partners within the Albany NanoTech ecosystem and throughout the world.
  • Serve as primary representative for NY CREATES in sustainability focused initiatives with industry and academics.
  • Build a team of sustainability experts to further site sustainability efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably in science, engineering, architecture, or another technical/design program.
  • Minimum of 7 years industry experience in sustainability consulting, green building, or engineering, preferably in the manufacturing or semiconductor sectors.
  • Management experience.
Preferred Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field. Preferably in science, engineering, architecture or another technical/design program and 5+ years industry experience in sustainability consulting, green building, or engineering. Preferably in the manufacturing or semiconductor sectors.
