Position Overview:
The PSE Energy Resources team is at the forefront of designing impactful and innovative renewable energy projects. We are seeking a versatile professional to spearhead the execution of multidisciplinary Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, focusing on the electrical design components throughout their lifecycle. We are looking for a proactive, intelligent, and entrepreneurial individual with a strong background in the renewable energy sector. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a blend of engineering, business development, and project management responsibilities. A "seller-doer" with exceptional technical and interpersonal skills will thrive in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer utility-scale PV solar systems, energy storage, and microgrid projects ranging from 5MW to over 100MW.
- Provide technical guidance and support to utilities in planning for the integration of renewable energy resources.
- Stay informed about existing and emerging technologies relevant to future grid planning.
- Develop comprehensive engineering construction documents.
- Create detailed equipment specifications.
- Contribute to the establishment of internal solar engineering standards, tools, and processes.
- Coordinate project design tasks and teams across various locations.
- Occasionally visit project sites to collect site-specific data as needed.
- Author or contribute to technical papers and reports.
- Conduct system studies, including arc flash, load flow, short circuit, overcurrent coordination, ampacity, and grounding studies.
- Maintain communication and provide updates to stakeholders as necessary.
- Ensure quality in design work by adhering to internal QA/QC protocols.
- Mentor and train new and junior engineering staff.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing utility-scale solar PV and/or energy storage systems.
- PE (Professional Engineer) Licensure or the ability to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, SKM, ETAP, and SEL Relays.

- Familiarity with industry-standard design codes such as NEC, International Building Codes, and International Fire Codes.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to prioritize tasks and resources.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- NABCEP certification or willingness to obtain one.
