Warehouse Inventory Supervisor

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the seamless operation of warehouse and distribution activities, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize warehouse operations to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee inventory transactions within the management system.
- Develop and implement a robust inventory management strategy, leveraging industry best practices.
- Continuously enhance warehouse processes through lean methodologies.
- Ensure sufficient inventory levels to meet operational demands.
- Conduct annual inventory audits to align with state compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed inventory reports and documentation.
- Perform field audits and physical inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy.
- Assess and report on the effectiveness of warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- A college degree in Bioprocess Engineering is preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing within the food manufacturing sector, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Successful completion of on-the-job training is required, with a focus on shipping and warehousing protocols.
- Possess mechanical aptitude relevant to material handling equipment, including a valid forklift operator's license and a current driver's license.
Work Environment:
- The role is primarily based in a warehouse setting, where exposure to strong aromas and airborne particles is common.
- Employees may need to stand or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
