Position Summary

The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for managing procurement and logistics operations, ensuring that our supply chain processes are efficient and compliant with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and refine specifications for required products and services.
  • Engage with manufacturing leadership to determine procurement volumes and scheduling needs.
  • Initiate and manage requests for quotations and proposals from suppliers.
  • Evaluate pricing proposals from potential vendors to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Generate purchase orders and oversee their timely approval and delivery.
  • Review supplier invoices and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
  • Work with legal teams to draft non-disclosure agreements with suppliers.

Logistics:

  • Receive and allocate materials according to established storage protocols.
  • Oversee inventory management and conduct regular cycle counts.
  • Facilitate the transfer of materials to production areas as needed.
  • Coordinate shipping of materials based on documented requests.

Additional Duties:

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for supply chain processes.
  • Support the qualification, calibration, and maintenance of warehouse facilities and equipment.
  • Act as a representative for the warehouse in cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in regulated environments (cGMP, GDP, OSHA) is essential.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a full-sized van are necessary.
  • Prior experience in supply chain management, logistics, and material handling is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and change management capabilities are advantageous.
  • Availability to support operations during non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, is required.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet is expected.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform manual tasks.
