Job Overview: At Theraplant, our Compliance team plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of the medical cannabis supply chain, adhering to the regulations set forth by the State of CT's Medical Marijuana Program. Compliance Officers are tasked with maintaining comprehensive records, both in paper and digital formats, that document every phase of production, including inventory management, batch documentation, product tracking, laboratory reports, quality assurance records, and labeling.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the daily inventory management for Cure & Extract operations.
  • Provide assistance to Cultivation compliance activities as needed.
  • Ensure restricted access to raw materials inventory.
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in enhancing and enforcing compliance SOPs, systems, and reporting processes.
  • Gather data from packaging teams for end-of-day reconciliation.
  • Engage in periodic inventory audits and generate necessary documentation.
  • Create and print labels for finished products as required.
  • Support internal audit processes.
  • Maintain familiarity with relevant cannabis regulations, including the Responsible and Equitable Regulations of Adult-use Cannabis Act and others as applicable.
  • Oversee proper waste tracking and ensure compliant waste disposal, following internal SOPs to meet regulatory standards and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the testing process, including escorting and manifesting samples, ensuring compliance and proper documentation throughout.
  • Help maintain accurate records for manufacturing runs, ensuring integrity in reporting and operations within the cannabis facility.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably with a focus in mathematics, data analysis, or statistics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with advanced Excel functionalities and general computer proficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills, along with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to lift or move items weighing at least 15 lbs, with the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and navigate stairs.
