Position: Automotive and Light Truck Technician

American National Fleet Service is on the lookout for a proactive and responsible individual to enhance our Service Center Team. This motivated individual will take charge of various Automotive and Light Truck Repair tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

· Safety: Always prioritize safety in all tasks; it is a core value at American National Fleet Service.

· Organization: Maintain a tidy and systematic work environment at all times.

· Preventive Maintenance: Possess a thorough understanding of vehicle systems to identify potential failures according to manufacturer guidelines.

· Brakes: Demonstrate knowledge of brake system functions and the ability to inspect, test, and repair components.

· Steering and Suspension: Understand steering and suspension systems, including alignment requirements.

· Drivetrain: Inspect, test, and repair all drivetrain components and systems.

· Electrical and Electronic Systems: Have a solid grasp of both basic and advanced electrical circuits and systems.

· Heating, Ventilation, and A/C: Understand engine heating and cooling systems, refrigerant properties, and possess strong electrical skills for inspection and repair.

· Diesel and Gasoline Engines: Knowledge of combustion principles and the ability to inspect, test, and repair engine components.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will exhibit a positive, professional demeanor and a desire to collaborate effectively to achieve company goals. A self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision post-training is essential.

Additional qualifications include:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Possession of necessary tools for job responsibilities, including hand tools and air tools
  • Familiarity with diagnostic and repair equipment
  • Preferred: ASE Certifications, Factory Training/Certifications from Ford, Chrysler, and GM
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Successful completion of background checks and drug tests
  • Authorization to work in the United States
