Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This full-time, non-exempt role offers a comprehensive benefits package and is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in the heavy equipment sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs on various heavy-duty trailers.
  • Diagnose and modify components as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
  • Interpret and utilize operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings effectively.
  • Collaborate positively with service writers, supervisors, parts departments, and customers.
  • Document all actions taken accurately and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Experience with DOT annual trailer inspections is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record is required.
  • Strong initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are essential.
  • Possession of a basic set of mechanic's hand tools is necessary.
  • Familiarity with cutting torches and welders is a plus, though not mandatory.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery and in varying environmental conditions.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
