Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and friendly Guest Service Representative to join our team at Tru by Hilton. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests promptly and warmly, using a clear speaking voice and active listening skills to understand their needs and requests.
  • Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization, handle cash, make change, and balance an assigned house bank.
  • Accept and record vouchers and other forms of payment, and perform accurate arithmetic functions using a calculator.
  • Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using the computer, and complete registration process by inputting and retrieving information from the computer system.
  • Promptly answer the telephone using a clear speaking voice, and input messages into the computer and retrieve messages and communicate the content to the guest.
  • Ensure all guest correspondences are kept confidential, and resolve issues such as location changes, providing additional room amenities, and credit issues.
  • Record guest comments or complaints, and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Regular attendance is essential, and may be required to work varying schedules and holidays.
  • Required to fully comply with the hotel's rules and regulations, and maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
