Financial Aid Specialist – Liberty Campus

Position Overview:
The Financial Aid Technician at GeorgiaGov plays a crucial role in facilitating the financial assistance process for students. Reporting to the Campus Dean for Student Affairs, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of administrative functions essential to the financial aid system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming visitors and addressing their inquiries
- Providing comprehensive information regarding financial aid options
- Assessing financial aid applications for completeness and accuracy
- Updating necessary records and databases
- Assisting students with application procedures
- Monitoring and analyzing the status of applications
- And additional related tasks
Required Competencies:
- Solid understanding of financial aid processes
- Knowledge of student financial aid programs and relevant regulations
- Proficiency in computer operations and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication abilities
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED along with one year of pertinent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Experience in an educational or financial aid office setting
- Familiarity with Banner Financial Aid and outstanding customer service skills
