Position Title: Educational Support Specialist

Job Overview:
The Liberty County School District is currently seeking applications for the role of Educational Support Specialist. This position is essential in providing assistance to students in an elementary school setting.

Application Requirements:
Interested candidates must submit a complete Classified Application, which includes three (3) professional references and a current resume. For those who may have difficulty accessing the application online, support is available through the Office of the Assistant Superintendent.

Qualifications:
1. An Associate's Degree or a successful score on the Para-Pro Test, or actively pursuing the qualification.
2. Proficiency in computer skills is preferred.
3. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs as required.
4. Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or the ability to obtain these certifications.
5. Written references must be provided upon request.
6. Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete assigned tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
- Willingness to assist students with daily living activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively relate to students and adults.
- Proficient oral and written communication abilities.
- Basic skills in English and Mathematics.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity with technology and its application in assigned responsibilities.
- Competence in performing clerical tasks.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of office and audio-visual equipment operation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Commitment to attend relevant training and professional development.

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position is $15.
