This position is responsible for facilitating employee development through support of various nursing initiatives and ongoing communication and collaboration with leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and conduct nursing professional development and education services for staff in clinical areas.
  • Facilitate employee development through support of various nursing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure effective communication and coordination of education services.
  • Provide educational opportunities primarily for the Operating Room, IR, Cath Lab, and the Sterile Processing Department.
  • Develop and implement education programs to meet the needs of staff in clinical areas.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education programs and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years recent bedside or clinical nursing experience.
  • Recent experience using Microsoft Office products.
  • Current Registered Nurse license with eligibility to work in the state of Missouri.
  • BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of clinical education experience in a procedural services area (Operating Room, IR, Cath Lab, and/or Sterile Processing).
  • Specialty nursing certification.
  • ACLS; PALS; TNCC certification.
