Job Overview
Responsibilities

  • Manage a range of requests, inquiries, and transactions through various communication channels including phone, email, fax, and mail.
  • Assess requests for precision and completeness.
  • Provide assistance to both internal and external clients via phone or email.
  • Record all relevant details associated with inquiries, attach necessary documentation, and if issues remain unresolved, direct them to the appropriate department for further action.
  • Collect and evaluate data to offer insights to Team Leads regarding employee training needs and specific providers needing education on prior authorization or pre-certification processes.
  • Evaluate inquiries to ascertain if authorization is necessary.
  • Confirm member benefits and eligibility, as well as provider setup.
  • Update and maintain Service Requests while investigating any discrepancies or missing information.
  • Prioritize and delegate incoming inquiries efficiently throughout the day to the suitable personnel.
  • Conduct monthly Peer Audits as required.
  • Communicate clinical review outcomes to members and providers through both verbal and written formats.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant fields.
