Job Overview
Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse range of requests, inquiries, and transactions through various communication channels including phone, email, fax, and mail.
  • Ensure the accuracy of requests through thorough review.
  • Provide support to both internal and external clients via phone or email.
  • Accurately document all relevant information regarding inquiries, attaching necessary supporting documents, and if unable to resolve, direct to the appropriate department for follow-up.
  • Collect and analyze data to offer insights to Team Leads regarding employee training needs and specific providers needing education on prior authorization or pre-certification processes.
  • Assess inquiries to determine if authorization is necessary.
  • Confirm member benefits and eligibility as well as provider setup.
  • Maintain and update Service Requests while investigating any incorrect or missing information.
  • Efficiently triage and assign incoming inquiries to the appropriate staff throughout the day.
  • Conduct monthly Peer Audits as required.
  • Communicate clinical review outcomes to members and providers through both verbal and written notifications.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant fields.
