Position Overview

Falconbridge Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to enhance our client service experience.

About Our Practice: At Falconbridge Animal Hospital, we prioritize compassionate care for all pets, including cats, dogs, and exotic animals. Our facility is a full-service, Fear Free, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital equipped with advanced diagnostic tools such as digital radiography and ultrasound. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care for our patients, treating each pet as if they were our own.

Working Hours: Our facility operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM.

Compensation: The hourly wage ranges from $15 to $17.

Role Summary: The Veterinary Receptionist serves as the initial and final point of contact for clients, playing a crucial role in establishing a positive impression. This position requires outstanding customer service and communication skills, proficiency in computer systems, and the ability to manage financial transactions effectively. The Receptionist will collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff to ensure excellent patient and client care.

  • Handle incoming calls promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries regarding animal care and available services.
  • Direct calls to the appropriate personnel and ensure timely message delivery.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and confirm surgeries in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Document client interactions accurately in medical records, noting key discussion points.
  • Process payments efficiently, providing clear explanations of invoices and services rendered.
  • Verify client eligibility for charge accounts and maintain accurate client information.
  • Assist clients with prescription refills and provide essential care instructions.
  • Offer advice on preventative care products and services.
