Position Overview

This role is essential for managing the procurement, restocking, and presentation of Specialty products. Engage in regional initiatives for sourcing and promotional activities. Unpack deliveries, showcase new items, and ensure shelves are well-stocked. Collaborate with the Team Leader to arrange promotional displays and uphold operational standards. Deliver friendly, efficient service to customers and Team Members consistently. Adhere to team and store Standard Operating Procedures while supporting Whole Foods Market's core values and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the purchasing and replenishment of Specialty items following established buying protocols
  • Ensure timely and precise orders to optimize inventory turnover
  • Communicate product distinctions to customers effectively
  • Meet and surpass margin and sales goals
  • Design impactful merchandising displays
  • Ensure accurate signage and pricing
  • Engage in promotional initiatives
  • Provide product samples to customers
  • Oversee the special order process for customers
  • Handle invoices and returns efficiently
  • Maintain an organized back stock area
  • Monitor and manage product waste and spoilage
  • Complete necessary documentation
  • Deliver outstanding customer service
  • Maximize sales opportunities through effective practices
  • Follow established protocols and maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • Execute opening, mid, and closing responsibilities
  • Report any safety concerns

Required Skills

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 12 months in a retail setting

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Standing and walking for 6-8 hours daily
  • Engaging in various physical motions
  • Exposure to cleaning agents and varying temperatures
