Your Impact: The Production Assembler II will execute a diverse range of assembly tasks on product components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies to produce essential laboratory equipment and medical devices.

Safety is paramount, and you will ensure that the highest quality products are produced within specified takt times while promoting continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.

A Day in the Life:

  • Select and align appropriate components for assembly, utilizing techniques such as drilling, riveting, and soldering to meet precise specifications.
  • Interpret electrical wiring diagrams to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Conduct inspections during sub-assembly and at critical stages to verify that units meet established quality standards before progressing to subsequent workstations.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools, including drills and rivet guns.
  • Employ the SAP system to input product-related data and track component serial numbers, production rates, and physical locations.
  • Order and gather supplies/materials as needed using both paper and SAP documentation.
  • Troubleshoot work-related issues by applying knowledge and experience, seeking assistance when necessary.
  • Test assembled units and prepare the final product for packaging.

Keys to Success:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: A minimum of one year of proven experience in a manufacturing, construction, maintenance, or industrial setting is preferred. Previous experience in multi-component manufacturing assembly is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions.
  • Physical capability to stand, bend, reach, and handle bulky parts; frequent lifting of up to 35 pounds is required.
  • Proficient computer and keyboarding skills.
