Job Overview

Position Title: Product Assembly Technician

The Product Assembly Technician is responsible for executing a diverse range of assembly tasks on various product components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies to create essential laboratory equipment and medical devices. This role emphasizes safety and quality, ensuring that products meet specified standards while promoting continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and assemble components in the correct order, utilizing tools such as drills, rivet guns, and soldering equipment to adhere to specifications.
  • Interpret electrical wiring diagrams to ensure precise assembly processes.
  • Conduct inspections of parts during sub-assembly and at critical stages to confirm that units meet established quality benchmarks before progressing to subsequent workstations.
  • Employ a variety of hand tools effectively, including drills and rivet guns, to facilitate assembly tasks.
  • Utilize the SAP system to input product-related data, monitor component serial numbers, and track production metrics.
  • Manage the ordering and retrieval of materials and supplies, ensuring availability for assembly operations.
  • Address and resolve work-related challenges by applying relevant knowledge and seeking assistance when necessary.
  • Perform testing on assembled units, ensuring they are cleaned and packaged appropriately for final delivery.
Required Skills

Position Details

This role is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity, providing a chance for long-term employment based on performance.

Work Environment

The position is conducted in a clean, organized, and climate-controlled setting.

Compensation

Pay Rates:

  • 1st Shift: $18/hr
  • 2nd Shift: $19.80/hr

Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to approximately 4:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to approximately 12:30 AM

Schedule: Monday to Friday with overtime on Saturdays as required.

Weekly Hours: 50-60 hours.
