About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Assistant to join our team at The Metropolitan Opera. This role will collaborate with HR operations and benefits teams to identify and enhance processes related to benefit and labor work streams across multiple departments.

The successful candidate will support dues & contributions processes for 15+ unions, involving tasks such as Excel data analysis and management, databases development and maintenance using Access, system integration across HCM, payroll, and other platforms, manual data entry and processing, and union requirements understanding and Met's compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with HR operations and benefits teams to identify and enhance processes related to benefit and labor work streams.
  • Support dues & contributions processes for 15+ unions, involving tasks such as Excel data analysis and management, databases development and maintenance using Access, system integration across HCM, payroll, and other platforms, manual data entry and processing, and union requirements understanding and Met's compliance.
  • Work with IS and HR operations to identify process improvements through various tools and technologies, including jotform, docusign, Microsoft applications, and more.
  • Support financial reconciliations and invoicing processes for all health and welfare vendors, including medical, workers' compensation, 403(b), and others.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in computer science or a related field, or relevant certifications.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with data entry and process improvement in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Technological aptitude with a strong desire to learn new systems.
Estimated Salary Range

$50,000 - $65,000 per year.
