Strata's flagship platform, Maverics, serves as identity middleware that seamlessly connects various identity infrastructures (such as Okta, Microsoft, and AWS) with applications, enhancing security and streamlining IT processes without necessitating application rewrites, thus yielding significant cost savings.

We collaborate closely with industry leaders like Microsoft Azure and AWS to ensure our software is secure, scalable, and adaptable to evolving customer needs.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our team in enhancing our distributed-identity orchestration platform, Maverics. You will be part of an engineering group dedicated to security, reliability, and scalability, employing rigorous code reviews and agile methodologies.

Our team is known for its speed, creativity, and agility, with a focus on autonomy and accountability. We offer exciting projects and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the identity management sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize your expertise in system-level programming to advance Strata's Maverics platform.
  • Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle using agile practices, including pair programming and test-driven development.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design teams to implement new features and enhancements.
  • Work alongside other engineers to develop solutions that accommodate current and future scaling needs.
  • Adopt a DevSecOps approach in software development and operations.
  • Assess and integrate new technologies to refine our practices.
  • Identify and resolve production issues while implementing effective solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of the software and services you develop.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions and conduct code reviews to uphold engineering standards.
  • Lead initiatives in large-scale Go-based Identity Management product development.
  • Support professional services for successful customer deployments.
  • Mentor peers and foster a culture of learning within the engineering team.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, with a commitment to collaboration.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in system-level programming languages (GoLang, C, or Rust), Linux, networking, and web/application servers.
  • Over 7 years of experience in software development within cloud-native or enterprise software environments.
  • Solid understanding of HTTP, web application architectures, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience in designing and developing large-scale applications, including modern web applications.
  • Familiarity with contemporary software engineering practices and design patterns.
  • Strong grasp of networking fundamentals and cloud-based application architectures.
  • Knowledge of enterprise identity infrastructure and security considerations in cloud and on-premises settings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with identity standards such as OAuth, SAML, OIDC, or LDAP.
  • Understanding of cloud identity solutions (AzureAD, Okta, Google, AWS) and/or on-premises identity systems.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development and Pair Programming.
  • While experience with GoLang is advantageous, a willingness to learn is equally valued.
