Join Our Team as a System Security Engineer
SciTec is a progressive small business dedicated to providing cutting-edge sensor data processing technologies and scientific instrumentation capabilities in support of National Security and Defense.
We are seeking a skilled System Security Engineer to enhance our team. This role requires extensive experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining hardware and software solutions aimed at safeguarding critical mission technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate system-level requirements into detailed component and subsystem specifications, focusing on hardware integration for security controls.
- Define and review security requirements to empower technical architects and systems engineers in securing products.
- Maintain a comprehensive view of Systems Security Engineering (SSE) while addressing stakeholder security risks through effective Systems Engineering practices.
- Foster a culture of security by integrating security measures from the inception of program development.
- Collaborate with Chief Engineers and Program Managers to communicate the needs of the Security Engineering team and address any identified issues.
- Conduct briefings for senior leadership on program protection and security policies.
- Ensure the effectiveness of security elements within systems to support mission success.
- Develop detailed security designs utilizing recognized practices, including Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Review and recommend security policies and best practices across the mission acquisition lifecycle.
- Engage in threat analysis and develop a comprehensive SSE Plan.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC).
- Proficiency in secure hardware integration and designing hardware security solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with TEMPEST product requirements.
- Cross-Domain Solution integration experience.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
- Previous experience in Cybersecurity.
