About the Role

As a Senior Security Engineer at Google, you will play a critical role in protecting our users and developers from cyber threats. You will work closely with our Security Response team to identify and mitigate potential security risks, and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and drive resolution on a diverse range of incidents, including security breaches and system compromises.
  • Support computer forensic needs of incidents, analyzing evidence to identify causes and trends.
  • Develop excellence in Incident Response through tools and infrastructure, and prepare teams across Google through exercises and training.
  • Manage relationships across the company, including legal, engineering, communications, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with Digital Forensics, Incident Response, or Incident Management.
  • 5+ years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
  • 5+ years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose languages.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, experience working with government agreements, government customers, FedRAMP compliance, or NIST.
