Key Responsibilities

As a Senior System Planning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future design of the electric power grid. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting electrical engineering analyses and providing technical support for the planning and operation of the electric power system.
  • Implementing effective system modeling techniques and developing tools to monitor and control system performance.
  • Performing stability assessments and analyzing both simulated and actual operating results to address current and future system stability challenges.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations based on study findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and technical integrity of reports.
  • Working independently on complex assignments while making informed decisions in challenging engineering scenarios.
  • Leading multifunctional teams to gather input and address feedback during studies.
  • Mentoring less experienced engineers and analysts, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.

Required Experience:
Experience in the electric utility industry is preferred, particularly in a power system engineering role.

Preferred Experience:
Experience with dynamic stability analyses using power system simulation tools, programming automation tools, and familiarity with NERC reliability standards is advantageous.

Work Location

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence as needed based on business requirements.
