Company:
Cluster is at the forefront of developing innovative autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles. We are seeking a proficient Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer to lead our hardware and aerospace engineering division, concentrating on the design, development, and evaluation of hardware systems.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience in the aerospace sector or a related discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the design, development, and testing of hardware and aerospace systems
  • Supervise the selection and integration of hardware components for various projects
  • Establish and oversee timelines for hardware development initiatives
  • Provide mentorship and support to engineers across different experience levels
  • Conduct feasibility analyses and risk evaluations for new engineering designs
  • Lead the creation and testing of prototypes
  • Manage performance and reliability assessments, including post-launch operations and troubleshooting
  • Engage in design reviews and collaborative problem-solving sessions
  • Maintain a hands-on involvement in daily engineering activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Over 8 years of pertinent experience (aerospace industry background is preferred)
- Proficient in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Skilled in FEA tools such as Ansys or Nastran
- Understanding of mechanical design, analysis, and manufacturing processes within the aerospace field
- Experience collaborating with manufacturing vendors and interpreting technical drawings

Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with CAM, CNC, milling, lathe operations, composite layup, mold fabrication, and workshop tools
- Proficiency in 3D printing technologies
- Experience piloting aircraft or large drones
- Knowledge in composite structure design and analysis
