About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Systems Design Engineering to join our team at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD). As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality, industry-leading technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Distributed Team: You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers who are passionate about delivering robust technical solutions, including post-silicon work.
  • Own Innovation: You will own the team's innovation methods for post-silicon validation and efficiencies for post-silicon bring up, feature enablement, optimization, and validation.
  • Lead System Validation Strategy: You will lead the system validation strategy from post-silicon through customer adoption, working across architecture, silicon design, firmware, validation, and debug teams.
  • Project Planning and Management: You will proactively lead project planning, developing, and maintaining schedules, managing dependencies, and ensuring quality of work at committed landmarks.
  • Debug and Resolution: You will drive debug and resolution of validation issues across silicon, firmware/BIOS, and coordinating with validation partners as needed.
  • Status Representation: You will develop regular status representing the validation team in program meetings, providing status to program and senior management.
  • Staff Coaching and Mentoring: You will coach and mentor staff.
Preferred Experience
  • Engineering management and technical leadership experience.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to connect with a variety of engineering fields and management.
  • Good understanding of the technologies, capabilities, and challenges involved.
  • Expertise in firmware, software, and not just hardware.
Academic Credentials

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related discipline is preferred.
