Position Overview

As a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer at EnergyX, you will play a crucial role in the development of our groundbreaking lithium separation technologies for commercial application. Working closely with our process engineering team, your responsibilities will include the design, construction, troubleshooting, and management of pilot and large-scale lithium separation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the mechanical engineering designs for DLE projects.
  • Oversee mechanical design activities, encompassing equipment sizing, configuration, material selection, and system development.
  • Prepare equipment datasheets and comprehensive project documentation.
  • Establish project scopes, timelines, and financial plans.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers to ensure effective project execution.
  • Employ SolidWorks/AutoCAD for equipment layout and design enhancement.
Essential Qualifications:
  • 3-7 years of experience in the Chemical or Mineral sectors.
  • Previous engagement with engineering firms and EPC contractors.
  • Expertise in CAD and SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of MOC for corrosive environments.
  • Familiarity with design/build codes such as ASME, DIN-EN, etc.
  • Understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience in P&ID development and validation.
  • Proficiency in process equipment including piping, valves, pumps, and pressure vessels.
