As a Front Desk Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring consistent quality customer service is delivered, and you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with staff and guests to provide clear direction and resolve any issues that may arise

Monitor lobby traffic and make staffing adjustments accordingly to ensure a smooth and efficient guest experience

Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome, and promptly complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from our computer system

Promote our marketing program and make appropriate selections of rooms based on guest needs

Handle cash, make change, and balance an assigned house bank, as well as accept and record vouchers, traveler's checks, and other forms of payment

Perform accurate arithmetic functions using a calculator, and post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using our computer system

Answer the telephone using positive and clear English language, and input messages into our computer system

Retrieve messages and communicate the content to guests, and retrieve mail, small packages, and facsimiles for hotel guests as requested

Qualifications

We're looking for individuals who possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts

Basic mathematical skills required, as well as the ability to access and accurately input information using our moderately complex computer system

Ability to stand, walk, and continuously perform behind the front desk, as well as communicate verbally and in writing and prepare complex reports of room availability and revenues generated
