About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Account Executive to join our team at OEC Group. As a Sales Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating new business through cold calling, building and maintaining a customer base, and partnering with internal subject matter experts to become well-educated in all OEC products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new business through cold calling, on average 40 calls per day
  • Build and maintain a customer base by recognizing freight forwarding business opportunities
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to become well-educated in all OEC products and services
  • Offer solutions through OEC Group's services, including ocean, air, warehousing & distribution, LTL & FTL transportation, cargo insurance, and customs brokerage
  • Achieve monthly sales quotas set by the sales management team
  • Utilize Sugar (CRM) to track client's key information, build and maintain sales pipeline, and measure KPIs
  • Work closely with the sales support team by reviewing quotes to ensure the client's needs are met
  • Meet with current and potential clients within assigned territory
  • Maintain consistent communication with other departments and overseas offices
  • Monitor international freight forwarding market trends and conditions
Requirements
  • Outside sales experience or operations experience in freight forwarding
  • Bachelor's degree in International Transportation, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (plus)
  • Reliable transportation at the time of hire
