About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and outgoing individual to build relationships with prospective customers and present our shipping services during face-to-face meetings. As a Sales Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating new business through cold calling, building and maintaining a customer base, and partnering with internal subject matter experts to become well-educated in all OEC products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new business through cold calling and build a customer base by recognizing freight forwarding business opportunities.
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to become well-educated in all OEC products and services.
  • Offer solutions through OEC Group's services, including ocean, air, warehousing & distribution, LTL & FTL transportation, cargo insurance, and customs brokerage.
  • Achieve monthly sales quotas set by the sales management team.
  • Utilize Sugar (CRM) to track client's key information, build and maintain sales pipeline, and measure KPIs.
  • Work closely with the sales support team by reviewing quotes to ensure the client's needs are met.
  • Meet with current and potential clients within assigned territory.
  • Maintain consistent communication with other departments and overseas offices.
  • Monitor international freight forwarding market trends and conditions.
Requirements
  • Outside sales experience or operations experience in freight forwarding.
  • Bachelor's degree in International Transportation, International Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is a plus.
