Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to take on the role of a Creative Arts Educator at the Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC). This part-time position is ideal for someone who is dedicated to nurturing and developing the artistic abilities of young individuals. Your primary duties will involve mentoring students, providing guidance, and organizing educational initiatives that empower youth in our community.

As a key contributor to our mission, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of aspiring young leaders. The compensation for this role ranges from $22 to $25 per hour, allowing you to play an influential role in fostering the growth and success of youth in a vibrant and supportive environment. We are actively looking for candidates for various locations, and your preference for either Baltimore or Washington D.C. should be indicated when applying.

Compensation:

$22 - $25 hourly

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards.
  • Create a safe and encouraging learning atmosphere that supports student well-being and academic achievement.
  • Employ effective classroom management strategies to cultivate a positive and productive educational setting.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to develop a comprehensive and enriching academic experience for students.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their development.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in arts education is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for engaging with students and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in GSuite is necessary, along with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings and weekends, is important for this role.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean record and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
  • Completion of a preliminary form is necessary prior to the initial interview to ensure your application is valid.
