Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at our COPC Sports, Spine & Joint office in Westerville, OH.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider to coordinate the healthcare of patients in our practice during office visits. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop patient care treatment plans by obtaining medical histories and conducting physical exams of patients during appointments.
  • Establish diagnoses and form treatment plans, including follow-up appointments with patients who have already seen a physician.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on conditions, outcomes, or treatment plans.
  • Consult with physicians and clinical staff regarding issues, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Perform and document peripheral joint injections and trigger point injections in the clinic setting.
  • Prescribe medication dosages, routes, and frequencies based on individual patient needs.
  • Order, perform, and/or interpret results of diagnostic tests when necessary.
  • Participate in monitoring patient outcomes and ensuring quality of care by adhering to professional standards and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Master's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be considered a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) by a nationally recognized board in the state of Ohio.
  • Experience working in a primary care setting as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Physician Assistant in an Orthopedic, Sports Medicine, or PMR capacity is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in clinical practice protocols and delivering primary care.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Excellent listening, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of safety and infection control practices and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses a customer service-oriented mindset.
