We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider APP to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As an APP, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in the comfort of patients' homes.
About the Role:As an APP, you will work as part of a clinical care team with a DispatchHealth Medical Technician (DHMT) to deliver care in patients' homes through our innovative in-home care service lines. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing comprehensive health assessments and diagnosing and treating complex illnesses
- Providing therapeutic interventions, such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures
- Using critical thinking skills and following evidence-based standards of practice
- Accurately and thoroughly documenting patient encounters and ensuring accuracy
- Analyzing test data to diagnose, treat, and arrange appropriate follow-up for patients to ensure continuity of care
- Educating patients and families on how to treat their acute illness and manage their health and well-being
- Effectively navigating difficult conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of two years of experience as an APP in the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital, Family Practice, Cardiac, Pulmonary, or other relevant areas
- A graduate degree from an accredited institution
- A current, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- National board certification, current
- Current BLS required, ACLS certification preferred
- Prescriptive authority and DEA
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- The ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
- The ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
