Director, Content Strategy + Production

This position operates in a hybrid model, requiring some in-office presence. Candidates should be located in the Truckee/Tahoe, CA or Reno, NV region.

Compensation: $115k-$135k

As the Director, Content Strategy + Production, you will have the opportunity to enhance your creative impact and play a pivotal role in narrating our story through engaging multimedia content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development of our multimedia content strategy, focusing heavily on video production, podcasts, and interactive media.
  • Overseeing the creation, production, and dissemination of high-quality video content, which includes long-form podcasts, short-form video pieces, product-focused content, customer testimonials, case studies, and thought leadership articles.
  • Managing our content calendar across various platforms to ensure a unified narrative that effectively communicates our value proposition through diverse media formats.
  • Supervising a talented team of content creators, including videographers, editors, writers, and designers.
  • Collaborating with cross-departmental teams to produce compelling content that supports product launches, marketing strategies, brand initiatives, and other market activation efforts.
  • Innovating and implementing creative methods to narrate our story through multimedia channels, effectively reaching and engaging our target audience.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive background in multimedia content leadership with a minimum of 5 years of experience in content strategy, including at least 3 years in multimedia production and team management.
  • Expertise in multi-format storytelling, particularly in video production. Ability to craft engaging narratives across various media, with a strong emphasis on video. Comfort in both directing shoots and conducting interviews is essential, along with proficiency in video editing.
  • Proven ability to expand brand visibility through multimedia content, with a track record of producing compelling video content and SEO-optimized editorial that performs well. Capable of balancing searchable content with high-quality productions that appeal to both general audiences and industry experts.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience in creating and delivering impactful presentations to diverse audiences. Skilled in coaching executives to effectively convey our brand message through various multimedia formats.
  • Inspirational leadership qualities in the creative domain, with a passion for mentoring talent and fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement in multimedia production.
  • A robust network within the multimedia industry, with established connections to videographers, editors, writers, and industry experts who can enhance our brand's multimedia content through collaborations and partnerships.
  • Proactive approach to content creation, always seeking new formats and production techniques. Eager to incorporate feedback to refine work and contribute innovative ideas for product development, marketing strategies, and brand growth through multimedia.
