Job Overview

The Member Services Representative is the initial contact for all members at the Credit Union, tasked with fostering and nurturing member connections. This role is pivotal in delivering outstanding service and addressing the financial requirements of each member through the management of current products and services, as well as recommending new offerings.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Welcoming members and non-members to the Credit Union with professionalism and courtesy.
  2. Assessing the financial needs of each member.
  3. Meeting all designated member service and sales objectives.
  4. Building and sustaining member relationships throughout their entire journey by recognizing and addressing their financial needs.
  5. Providing suitable solutions to fulfill member requirements and ensuring exceptional service. When necessary, collaborating with product specialists for specific needs such as wealth management, IRA, real estate, and commercial lending.
  6. Processing all member requests, including onboarding new members, establishing new deposit accounts, handling service requests, and executing routine banking transactions (deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, etc.).
  7. Engaging in branch operational duties such as audits, cash settlements, daily recaps, ATM management, cash recyclers, and monthly reporting.
  8. Enhancing member relationships by efficiently resolving issues.
  9. Increasing knowledge of the Credit Union's offerings to present members with all available options.
  10. Executing all sales, service, banking transactions, and operational tasks with precision, adhering to all security and compliance protocols, including the Teller Balancing Policy.
  11. Complying with all Credit Union policies and procedures, including regulations such as BSA and OFAC.

The salary range for this position is $23.19 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other relevant factors.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of one to three years of customer service and sales experience is preferred, along with at least six months of cash handling experience. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Candidates should be adept at engaging members in conversation to maximize sales opportunities, possess excellent problem-solving abilities, and be comfortable with technology. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is necessary. Flexibility to work a rotating schedule from Monday to Saturday is required.
