The Member Services Representative plays a crucial role as the initial contact for all members at the Credit Union, focusing on fostering and nurturing member connections. This is accomplished by delivering outstanding service and addressing the financial requirements of each member through the management of existing offerings, suggesting new products and services, and fulfilling member requests.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming members and non-members to the Credit Union in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assessing the financial needs of each member.
- Meeting all assigned service and sales objectives.
- Building and maintaining member relationships throughout their entire journey by understanding their financial needs.
- Offering suitable solutions to meet member requirements and ensuring excellent service. When necessary, consulting with product specialists for specific needs such as wealth management, IRA, real estate, and commercial lending.
- Processing all member requests, including onboarding new members, opening deposit accounts, servicing inquiries, and handling routine banking transactions (deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, etc.).
- Assisting with branch operational tasks such as audits, cash settlements, daily recaps, ATMs, cash recyclers, and monthly reporting.
- Enhancing member relationships by proactively resolving issues.
- Increasing knowledge of the Credit Union's products and services to identify opportunities for member engagement.
- Executing all sales, service, banking transactions, and operational tasks with precision, adhering to security and compliance policies, including the Teller Balancing Policy.
- Complying with all Credit Union policies and procedures, including regulations such as BSA and OFAC.

The salary range for this position is $23.19 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other permissible factors.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of one to three years of customer service and sales experience is preferred, along with at least six months of cash handling experience. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Candidates must excel in engaging members to maximize sales opportunities, demonstrate effective problem-solving abilities, and be comfortable with technology. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is necessary. Flexibility to work a rotating schedule from Monday to Saturday is required.
