The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cambridge Program Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic enrichment support to students in our program at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of immigrant students and contribute to our organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the recruitment and onboarding of Cambridge Rindge and Latin students, ensuring a smooth transition into our program.
  • Co-lead the onboarding of 50-70 volunteers who will serve as mentors to our students, working closely with our Volunteer and Community Engagement Director.
  • Manage a caseload of students, providing socio-emotional support and ensuring team alignment on student case management.
  • Lead the planning and execution of bi-monthly leadership seminars and panels for students, focusing on leadership skills and personal development.
  • Manage weekly community space at CRLS, facilitating opportunities for student collaboration and engagement.
  • Onboard and train a Mass Promise Fellow (MPF) who will work as a Cambridge Program Associate, providing support with our mentoring program and curriculum development.
  • Support the MPF with logistics of monthly field trips for students to local companies/organizations and universities, as well as monthly Lunch & Learn events.
  • Support the Program Director with attending community meetings and building relationships with community partners in Cambridge.
  • Maintain a CRM database (Salesforce) by tracking attendance, updating notes, creating events, and following processes that maintain data integrity.
  • Supervise 2-3 Enroot students to become Cambridge program interns, who will provide support during mentoring nights and field trips.
  • Collaborate with Enroot's program team to align curriculum, communicate with students, connect with local organizations, and track program expenses and budget.
  • Work closely with Enroot's Pathways to Success Associate in supporting Enroot students' post-graduation plans, including collaborating on senior and junior check-ins and co-leading events such as Career Fair, Opportunity, and Career Panels.
  • Oversee social media updates from Enroot's Cambridge program on Enroot's Instagram and Facebook pages.

Requirements

  • Ability to build strong trusting relationships with young people, volunteer mentors, and other community partners.
  • Passion for Enroot's programming and personal or professional connections to supporting immigrant communities, English Learners, and/or education.
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing Diversity, Belonging, Inclusion, and Equity in the workplace and community.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in youth development, higher education, non-profits, or student support.
  • Working knowledge of youth development, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Strong ability to remain organized while juggling multiple workflows and logistics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and comfortable public speaking and facilitation.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work evening hours once a week, attend afternoon field trips, and participate in 1-on-1 coaching and other student-facing events.
  • Strong technology and computer skills and a natural curiosity to learn.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, including being in person at least 3 times a week in Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and attending all team meetings twice monthly at Enroot's Headquarters.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to speak Haitian Creole, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, or Hindi.
  • Experience working directly with high school students.
  • Familiarity with Cambridge, Somerville, and/or the Greater Boston community or other similar immigrant communities.

Compensation

Enroot offers competitive salaries among nonprofits of a similar size and is committed to pay equity and transparency. The salary for this position is $70,000 per year; Enroot sets competitive salaries and does not negotiate.

Enroot also offers a comprehensive benefits package and generous paid time off policy, including 15 paid vacation days (20 after the first 3 years), 10 holidays, 4 personal days, and 15 sick days. We offer one-day a month org-wide mental health day and year-round half-day Fridays. Our office is also closed for a week in December. Additionally, Enroot covers 100% of individual health insurance premiums and offers additional health reimbursement arrangements.
