Job Overview:
The Strategic Account Executive (SAE) at Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals is responsible for spearheading the expansion of commercial offerings within Strategic Accounts. This role involves crafting, refining, and implementing a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) strategy aimed at enhancing the company's value proposition for clients. The SAE plays a crucial role in maximizing product commercial viability and advancing the overall portfolio.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Act as the primary liaison for client engagement
  • Lead the formulation and execution of strategies for GPO and selected clientele
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities through strategic account oversight
  • Develop comprehensive account strategies to enhance product accessibility
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders and trading partners
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree is mandatory; an MBA or higher qualification is preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience in customer-facing roles within the biopharmaceutical sector
  • Background in Oncology, GPO, or Trade is advantageous
  • Proficient negotiation and contract execution capabilities
  • Understanding of reimbursement processes and access issues
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%


This role offers a competitive annual base salary range of $156,750 - $229,900, along with eligibility for short-term and long-term incentive programs.
